Why additional housing?
A new school represents a significant investment in the local community, both in terms of the facilities that it will offer, but also in terms of the cost.
As the land is wholly owned by a private company, it can only be made available through negotiation. The Education Funding Agency (EFA) have negotiated with the land owners, and the school trust have not been party to this.
The application outlined is the only way in which the Free School can go ahead on this site.
